What the science says
Aloe vera juice — In controlled research, topical aloe vera extract raised the water content of the outermost skin layer compared with an unsupplemented cream base. [1]
Jojoba seed oil — A liquid wax made of long-chain esters, widely used in moisturisers for skin feel and softness. [2]
Glycerin — A humectant that draws water into the outermost skin layer, supporting skin suppleness and the moisture barrier. [3]
The cited studies looked at aloe, jojoba and glycerin in general, not at this cream. Here, aloe leaf juice is the first ingredient, followed by jojoba seed oil and glycerin. Bidens pilosa extract (14th) is a plant extract used as an alternative to retinol: a different ingredient, not a copy. We quote no studies for it, state no percentage and claim no retinol-like results. Ascorbyl palmitate and tocopherol are small amounts that protect the plant oils; we claim no vitamin effect.
