What the science says
Hexapeptide-11 — In lab tests on skin models, hexapeptide-11 switched on the skin's own antioxidant and protein-maintenance responses, and in volunteers it improved measured skin elasticity. [1]
Glycerin — Research on glycerin found it improves hydration of the outermost skin layer, the skin's moisture barrier and its softness and suppleness. [2]
The cited peptide research tested hexapeptide-11 in lab models and volunteer elasticity measurements, not our cream. In our formula hexapeptide-11 sits at position 19, after the fragrance (position 10), so it is present in a small amount and we do not credit it with visible firming. Jojoba oil and glycerin form the hydrating base. Ascorbyl palmitate (position 25), tocopherol and the hyaluronic acids (positions 26-27) are small amounts, so we claim no vitamin C or E effect from them.
