What the science says
Hexapeptide-11 — In volunteer studies, hexapeptide-11 was shown to improve measured skin elasticity, while lab models showed it supported antioxidant and protein-maintenance mechanisms. [1]
Niacinamide (vitamin B3) — In research on facial appearance, niacinamide helped soften the look of fine lines, dark spots and dullness while supporting skin elasticity. [2]
Hyaluronic acid — Research on topical hyaluronic acid found that it improved skin hydration and elasticity, with smaller molecular forms helping to soften the look of wrinkle depth. [3]
The cited studies tested the ingredients themselves, not these products. Niacinamide is 8th of 21 in the serum. Hexapeptide-11 is at position 19 in the cream and 21 in the eye cream, after the fragrance, so only a small amount: we claim no firming or elasticity effect for our creams. Hyaluronic acids sit near the end of all three lists, also in small amounts. The apple extract and phospholipids behind the EXOVIA™ name are skin-conditioning ingredients; we quote no studies for them. The serum contains lactic acid, which can increase sun sensitivity, so use sunscreen daily.
