Cleansing agents (coco-sulfate and glucosides) — Research on how shampoos and conditioners are formulated describes cleansing agents as lifting oil and dirt from scalp and hair, while conditioners make hair easier to manage, reduce static and add shine. [1]
Glycerin — Research on glycerin found it improves hydration of the outermost skin layer, the skin's moisture barrier and its softness and suppleness, and that it is especially helpful in dry, cold conditions. [2]
The cited research looks at shampoo formulation in general and at glycerin on skin, not at this shampoo. Hydrolysed keratin (position 20) and caffeine (position 15) come after the fragrance, so they are small amounts and we make no claim for them. The word 'Volume' is part of the product name; we make no claim about volume or thickness. This shampoo contains a mild coco-sulfate cleanser.
