What the science says
Aloe vera — In research on moisturising creams, versions containing aloe raised the water content of the outermost skin layer after 2 weeks, compared with the same cream without aloe. [1]
Plant emollients and humectants — Research on moisturising ingredients notes that emollients help keep skin smooth, while humectants hydrate the outermost skin layer. Results depend on the whole formula and on regular use. [2]
The cited aloe study compared creams with and without aloe; we do not know how the aloe level in our concealer compares with the one in the study, so we quote it only as research on the ingredient. Organic aloe leaf juice is the first ingredient here, followed by plant oils, butter and waxes. Hyaluronic acid, peony root and blueberry extracts sit near the end of the INCI list, after the preservative, so they are present in small amounts and we do not credit them with a visible effect.

Warm means golden or peachy rather than pink. If gold jewellery suits you better than silver, this is your column. Olive skin usually does better here than in the cool shades, because a concealer that is too pink turns visibly ashy on it.
