Therapium VELOURIS™ Correcting Concealer — 30 Tan Neutral

A neutral tan shade — deep enough to cover on tan skin, and the first shade in the range that doubles as a light contour.

Organic aloe leaf juice is the first ingredient, ahead of any oil, with organic shea butter, rice bran oil and plant waxes giving it body. Sodium PCA, sodium hyaluronate and hydrolysed hyaluronic acid keep the finish from going dry and powdery. Colour comes from mineral pigments — titanium dioxide and iron oxides — at a high enough load that a thin layer covers, so you do not have to pile it on.

Is this your shade?

Neutral at tan depth — no obvious pink or gold, which makes it the safer choice when you are ordering without seeing it. From 30 upwards our concealer range is neutral only: if your skin is tan and clearly warm or clearly cool, this will read very slightly off, and we would rather say so than pretend the range is wider than it is.

• Under the eye — this is the shade if your foundation is 35 Tan Warm or 40 Deep Neutral. On deeper skin the one-step-lighter rule matters more, not less: going two steps lighter is where the ashy under-eye comes from.
• On blemishes and redness — match your foundation depth instead, so 30 covers on tan skin.
• As a contour — on medium skin, 30 is about one shade deeper than the complexion, which is the right distance for a soft contour under the cheekbone.
• If you are between — 25 Medium Neutral and 35 Deep Neutral are the steps either side.

How to use

1. Apply in small dots where you want coverage.
2. Tap out with a fingertip or a small brush, working outwards.
3. Build a second thin layer if you need more, rather than one thick one.
4. Blends over foundation, or use it on bare skin on its own.

• Vegan — the three waxes are sunflower seed, rice bran and Rhus succedanea fruit wax, all plant-derived. The foundation is not vegan; it contains beeswax.
