Smooth, velvety finish in 10 Light Warm

A buildable, semi-matte liquid foundation in shade 10 Light Warm that evens the look of light skin with a golden undertone.

Visible benefits

Colour & finish

  • Even-looking coverage — titanium dioxide pigment softens the look of uneven tone.

Hydration

  • Light moisture without weight — butylene glycol attracts water to the surface.

Texture & pores

  • Smooth, even blending — organic beeswax and lecithin hold the texture together, so it glides on and blends evenly.
  • Less shine, more refined-looking pores — kaolin clay absorbs excess oil.
  • A velvety, matte feel — rice starch absorbs surface shine.
  • Fast-absorbing, non-greasy feel — light plant-derived emollients.

Soothing & comfort

  • A soothing, refreshing feel — aloe leaf juice comforts the skin as it hydrates.

Barrier & protection

  • A protective, comforting feel — beeswax forms a breathable layer that helps keep moisture in.

What the science says

Organic aloe vera juice — In research on moisturising creams, versions containing aloe raised the water content of the outermost skin layer after 2 weeks, compared with the same cream without aloe. [1]

Glycerin — Research on glycerin found that it improves hydration of the outermost skin layer, the skin's moisture barrier and its softness and suppleness. [2]

These studies look at aloe and glycerin in general, not at our foundation. Organic aloe leaf juice is the first ingredient and glycerin is ingredient 8 of 46. Hexapeptide-11 is ingredient 30, after the fragrance, and the two forms of hyaluronic acid are 32 and 33, so they are present in small amounts and we do not credit them with a visible effect. Kaolin and rice starch soak up surface shine; we make no claim about oil regulation. Contains beeswax, so it is not vegan.

These are published studies on the ingredients, not tests of this product. Study concentrations and formulas differ from ours; individual results vary.

Your routine

  1. Warm a small amount on the back of your hand.
  2. Dot onto the centre of the face and blend outwards along the jawline using fingertips, a brush or a damp sponge.
  3. Allow approximately twenty minutes to set and adapt to skin oils before judging the true shade.
  4. Build a second thin layer only where additional coverage is desired.

Who it's for

Light skin with warm, peachy or golden undertones where silver jewelry feels cool and gold flatters more. Pairs with Concealer 05 Light Cool under the eyes or 10 Light Warm on blemishes.

Good to know

  • Shade: 10 Light Warm, the second of ten. Every shade shares the same formula and the same INCI list — only the pigment load changes.
  • Contains organic beeswax, so it is not vegan. The concealer is.
  • The citrus peel oils bring naturally occurring fragrance allergens with them — limonene, linalool and citral are declared on the list.
  • How to choose a shade without seeing it covers the undertone tests in more detail.

Is this your shade?

Warm means golden or peachy. The quickest check is jewellery — if gold flatters you more than silver, this is your column. A cool foundation on warm skin reads slightly grey around the jaw; that is the mismatch to avoid, and it is more visible than being half a step off in depth.

  • If you are between shades — take the lighter one. The formula is buildable, and oxidation pushes in the same direction, so a shade that looks slightly light at eight in the morning is often right by nine.
  • Match to your neck, not your face, if the two differ. Test on the jawline in daylight, never on the wrist or the back of the hand.
  • Pair it with Concealer 05 Light Cool under the eye, 10 Light Warm on blemishes.
  • Either side — 05 Fair Neutral is lighter, 20 Medium Neutral is the next depth in neutral.

Questions

The questions people actually ask

Short answers from what is printed on the pack. If what you need is not here, ask us before you buy rather than after.

Answers refer to the formula printed on the pack you receive.

How should I apply VELOURIS™ Foundation?

Warm a small amount on the back of the hand. Press onto the centre of the face and blend outwards with fingers, a brush or a damp sponge. Build a second thin layer where you want more coverage.

Is shade 10 Light Warm right for me?

Shade 10 Light Warm has a golden or peachy cast, suited for light skin with warm undertones. If gold jewellery flatters you more than silver, warm is your column.

Does this foundation need powder to set?

No. Natural kaolin clay and rice starch allow the texture to set by itself to a semi-matte finish. You only need powder over it if you prefer a flatter finish.

Does the foundation oxidise after application?

Over the first fifteen to thirty minutes formulas may shift slightly darker and warmer as they meet skin oils and air. Judge the colour match after twenty minutes rather than immediately.

Does it contain fragrance?

Yes, a light citrus note from bergamot, lemon and bitter orange peel oils. Limonene, linalool and citral are declared on the list.

Is it vegan and certified?

It is certified COSMOS NATURAL by Ecocert Greenlife. It contains organic beeswax, so it is not vegan.

How much is in the tube?

30 ml, in a tube.
