Therapium VELOURIS™ Correcting Concealer — 35 Deep Neutral

The deepest of the seven shades — neutral, and deep enough to work as a contour on tan skin.

Organic aloe leaf juice is the first ingredient, ahead of any oil, with organic shea butter, rice bran oil and plant waxes giving it body. Sodium PCA, sodium hyaluronate and hydrolysed hyaluronic acid keep the finish from going dry and powdery. Colour comes from mineral pigments — titanium dioxide and iron oxides — at a high enough load that a thin layer covers, so you do not have to pile it on.

Is this your shade?

35 is where the concealer range ends, and it is neutral. The foundation goes three steps deeper than this — 40, 45 and 50 — so if your foundation is 45 Deep Warm or 50 Deep Cool, 35 is the closest concealer we make rather than an exact undertone match. That is a limit of the range, not a recommendation, and it is worth knowing before you order.

• Under the eye — this is the shade if your foundation is 40 Deep Neutral or deeper. The one-step-lighter rule is at its most unforgiving here: on deep skin, a concealer more than one step lighter reads as a grey patch in every photograph.
• On blemishes and redness — match your foundation depth instead, so 35 covers on deep skin.
• As a contour — on tan skin, 35 sits about one shade deeper than the complexion, which is the right distance for a soft contour.
• If it looks too deep — 30 Tan Neutral is the step below.

How to use

1. Apply in small dots where you want coverage.
2. Tap out with a fingertip or a small brush, working outwards.
3. Build a second thin layer if you need more, rather than one thick one.
4. Blends over foundation, or use it on bare skin on its own.
