What the science says
Glycerin — A humectant that draws water into the outermost skin layer and helps maintain suppleness and support the skin's moisture barrier. [1]
Sunflower seed oil — Research on moisturisers found that emollients, such as plant oils, keep the skin smooth and help break the dry-skin cycle. Results depend on the whole formula and on regular use. [2]
The cited research looks at glycerin and emollients in general, not at our eye cream. In our formula, sunflower seed oil is the second ingredient and glycerin the third. Hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid and sodium hyaluronate appear at positions 29 and 31, after the fragrance, so they are present in small amounts. Extracts of horse chestnut, ginkgo and grape leaf also appear after the fragrance, so we do not quote studies for them.

How should I apply LUMERIS™ Brightening Eye Cream?
Take a small amount on the ring finger and pat gently along the orbital bone, morning and evening. Do not rub. Let it settle before applying concealer.
What does it do for the look of the under-eye area?
Horse chestnut, grape leaf and ginkgo biloba extracts help the eye area look rested and less shadowed on mornings when the under-eye looks puffy.
Does it crease under concealer?
No. The texture is light enough to sit under concealer without creasing. Allow it to absorb before applying make-up.

It is made for normal to oily skin that wants a light eye cream with botanical extracts and hyaluronic acid.
