Why collagen hydrolysate and not whole collagen?
Hydrolysate means the collagen is already cut into shorter chains, which is what lets it dissolve into a 900 mg line inside a capsule rather than staying as a raw ingredient. The front of the bottle prints the chain size too: 3,000–5,000 Da. We print both figures and do not claim anything about how the collagen behaves once swallowed — the EU Register has no authorised wording for collagen hydrolysate itself.
Why is vitamin C in a collagen capsule too?
Because it carries two authorised wordings that are directly relevant here: vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of skin, and for the normal function of cartilage. Two capsules give 24 mg of it, 30 % of the reference value — enough to count as a source under the EU Register.
What does the zinc do here?
Zinc contributes to the maintenance of normal skin. Two capsules carry 5 mg of it, 50 % of the reference value, as zinc bisglycinate.
Is it vegan?
