Why doesn't the page say what the collagen does?
Because the EU Register of nutrition and health claims contains no authorised wording for collagen. What we can print is the number: 4,000 mg of hydrolysed fish collagen, types 1 and 3, peptides at 1,500 daltons, per 10 ml shot. The seven nutrients that do have authorised wording — starting with vitamin C, biotin and selenium — are in the table above with their own sentences.
Why is the biotin so high — 4,000 % of the reference value?
Because 2 mg is what the label states, and 2 mg of biotin is 4,000 % of the reference value. That is the dose the authorised wording for hair is normally used at in this category; it is also, by some distance, the highest single percentage on the label.
Is a biotin dose that high safe?
2 mg is what the label states as the daily dose, and 2 mg of biotin is 4,000 % of the reference value — by far the highest percentage on this label. The label's own caution is the standard one: do not exceed the stated recommended daily dose. It prints no further warning beyond that, so we don't add one here.
What does "1,500 Da" mean?
Da is short for dalton, a unit of molecular weight. The label states the fish collagen in this shot is hydrolysed to peptides of around 1,500 daltons — smaller fragments than whole collagen protein. We make no claim about what that size does once swallowed; it is a description of the ingredient, not an effect.
Is it vegan?
