What does FemBalance actually do for menopause or hormone balance?
We are not allowed to tell you, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. The EU Register of nutrition and health claims contains no authorised wording for dong quai, red clover, ashwagandha, maca or soy isoflavones, so any sentence a seller writes about hormone balance or menopause relief is one the regulator has not approved.
What we can print are the numbers: the label states the milligrams of each of the five extracts, and the seven vitamins and minerals that do carry an authorised claim are in the table above with their sentences.
Why can't I use it if I'm pregnant or breastfeeding?
Because one shot carries 800 µg of vitamin A as retinol — the full reference value — and high intakes of preformed vitamin A can harm an unborn child. The shot also contains plant compounds with hormone-like activity, named on the label in milligrams. The label states plainly: not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women.
Is it vegan?
No. The collagen is hydrolysed from fish, and the ingredient list also carries soy. Both are declared as allergens on the label.
Should I be careful about taking other vitamin A supplements alongside this?
Worth checking. One shot already carries 800 µg of vitamin A as retinol, the full reference value, so any other vitamin A supplement taken on the same day adds to that total. This is one reason the label marks the product as not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women.
How long does a bottle last?
