Why do you say nothing about DHA on its own?
Because the authorised EU wording for DHA applies only when the daily intake reaches 250 mg of DHA, and two softgels here give 240 mg. Ten milligrams short, so we leave it out.
If that particular sentence is what you are looking for, our Omega 3 Max 35/25 gives 500 mg of DHA in its daily dose.
What does 18/12 mean?
It is the concentration of the oil: about 18 % EPA and 12 % DHA. Check it against the label — 2,000 mg of fish oil per daily dose gives 360 mg of EPA and 240 mg of DHA, which is those proportions.
What makes it halal?
The capsule shell. It is beef gelatine, and both the specification and the label state that it is halal compliant. The oil itself comes from fish.
Who is Omega-3 Halal 18/12 designed for?
People who want a balanced baseline omega-3 supplement in a strictly halal-compliant bovine gelatine shell. Two softgels give 600 mg of omega-3 triglycerides along with a double daily value of natural vitamin E (24 mg, 200 % NRV).
What color and size are the Halal 18/12 softgels?
The label does not describe the softgel's colour or size. What is printed is the fill: 2,000 mg of fish oil concentrate in two softgels, with no artificial colours or flavourings, taken with 250 ml of water.
How is this different from Omega 3 Max 35/25?
This can is the lower concentration: 600 mg of omega-3 per daily dose against 1,400 mg, and 240 mg of DHA against 500 mg. It carries more vitamin E, 24 mg against 10 mg. Both use a beef gelatine shell that the label states is halal compliant, and both are two softgels a day for sixty days.
Does it contain allergens?
Yes — it contains fish, declared on the label under Annex II of Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011.
Why so much vitamin E?
24 mg of natural D-alpha-tocopherol is 200 % of the reference value. In a fish oil it is there as an antioxidant for the oil as well as a nutrient in its own right, and the label prints both the amount and the percentage.
What exactly was analysed?
Lot V0046BOD, best before 01/2028. PLENUM in Ennepetal analysed it on 8 December 2025 under number BOD/08/12/25-B for lead, arsenic, cadmium and mercury, and for aerobic mesophilic count, yeasts and moulds, Enterobacteriaceae, salmonella and E. coli. The finding was that there is nothing to object to.
