Therapium VELOURIS™ Smoothing Foundation — 10 Light Warm

A light shade with a golden cast — the warm step above the fairest neutral.

Organic aloe leaf juice heads the list, ahead of the oils. Kaolin and rice starch give the semi-matte finish and let the texture set on its own, so it does not need powdering over. Colour comes from mineral pigments — titanium dioxide and iron oxides — rather than synthetic dyes, and the load is high enough that a thin layer evens out the look of the complexion. Hexapeptide-11, two weights of hyaluronic acid and radish root ferment sit alongside them, with organic beeswax and lecithin holding the texture together.

Is this your shade?

Warm means golden or peachy. The quickest check is jewellery — if gold flatters you more than silver, this is your column. A cool foundation on warm skin reads slightly grey around the jaw; that is the mismatch to avoid, and it is more visible than being half a step off in depth.

• If you are between shades — take the lighter one. The formula is buildable, and oxidation pushes in the same direction, so a shade that looks slightly light at eight in the morning is often right by nine.
• Match to your neck, not your face, if the two differ. Test on the jawline in daylight, never on the wrist or the back of the hand.
• Pair it with Concealer 05 Light Cool under the eye, 10 Light Warm on blemishes.
• Either side — 05 Fair Neutral is lighter, 20 Medium Neutral is the next depth in neutral.

How to use

1. Warm a small amount on the back of the hand.
2. Press it onto the centre of the face and blend outwards with fingers, a brush or a damp sponge.
3. Build a second thin layer where you want more coverage.
4. The texture sets by itself — powder over it only if you want a flatter finish.
