Therapium VELOURIS™ Smoothing Foundation — 45 Deep Warm

A deep shade with a golden cast — the warm option at the deep end of the range.

Organic aloe leaf juice heads the list, ahead of the oils. Kaolin and rice starch give the semi-matte finish and let the texture set on its own, so it does not need powdering over. Colour comes from mineral pigments — titanium dioxide and iron oxides — rather than synthetic dyes, and the load is high enough that a thin layer evens out the look of the complexion. Hexapeptide-11, two weights of hyaluronic acid and radish root ferment sit alongside them, with organic beeswax and lecithin holding the texture together.

Is this your shade?

Warm at deep depth — red, golden or bronze undertones rather than neutral or blue. On deep skin a neutral foundation over warm undertones reads flat and slightly grey, which is exactly the gap 45 fills.

• Flash photography. Titanium dioxide reflects camera flash efficiently, and on deep skin that shows as a pale cast. It is a property of mineral pigment, not a shade error — use less product on the high points and skip a titanium-heavy setting powder.
• Concealer note, honestly. Our concealer stops at 35 Deep Neutral, and it is neutral. 35 is the closest we make for both under-eye and blemishes at this depth, rather than an exact undertone match. That is a limit of the concealer range, and it is better known before ordering than after.
• If you are between shades — take the lighter one. Buildable formula, and oxidation moves darker.
• Either side — 40 Deep Neutral is the same depth without the gold, 50 Deep Cool is the deepest and cool.

How to use

1. Warm a small amount on the back of the hand.
2. Press it onto the centre of the face and blend outwards with fingers, a brush or a damp sponge.
3. Build a second thin layer where you want more coverage.
4. The texture sets by itself — powder over it only if you want a flatter finish.

• Contains organic beeswax, so it is not vegan. The concealer is.
