Day 1
One softgel, 250 ml of water
Mark the date somewhere you will see it again, then repeat every fourth day. Write down the lot from the base of the jar too: Y1364BODD3 for the current lot.

Every fourth day, ninety softgels
Ninety softgels take you through the first year, half the jar. Each one carries 100 µg of vitamin D3; vitamin D contributes to the normal function of the immune system.

Days 361–720
The second half of the jar
The jar empties in the second year, around day 720. Vitamin D contributes to the maintenance of normal bones — that is the authorised wording for the 100 µg in each softgel, and the only thing we will say about it.

Why one every four days and not one a day?
Because that is the intake printed on the label: one softgel with 250 ml of water every four days. Vitamin D is fat-soluble, which is why a label can spread a larger amount over several days instead of asking for a small one each morning.
Take it on the schedule the label gives and do not exceed it.
2,000 % of the reference value sounds enormous.
The reference value for vitamin D is 5 µg, and 100 µg is 2,000 % of it — but that 100 µg covers four days, which works out at 25 µg a day. Reference values are labelling figures, not limits. If you already take another vitamin D product, ask a doctor or pharmacist before adding this one.
Is it vegan?
No. The shell is beef gelatine, and the specification states the product contains bovine material. The gelatine is halal compliant, which is also printed on the label. If you need a vegan vitamin D3, this is not the one.
What is in the softgel?
Four things: sunflower oil, coating agent gelatine (beef), humectant glycerol, and vitamin D3. The specification also states no added sugar, non-GMO, and no allergen labelling under Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011.
What exactly was analysed?
Lot Y1364BODD3, a sealed original pack of 180 capsules, best before 09/2028. PLENUM in Ennepetal analysed it on 5 March 2026 under number BOD/05/03/26 for lead, arsenic, cadmium and mercury, and for aerobic mesophilic count, yeasts and moulds, Enterobacteriaceae, salmonella and E. coli.
