Why two magnesium forms instead of one?
Because the label can then print what each one gives you: 3,100 mg of magnesium gluconate and 900 mg of magnesium bisglycinate, adding up to 400 mg of elemental magnesium — the number this page uses throughout.
Is 400 mg the elemental magnesium or the salt weight?
Elemental. The label states 400 mg of magnesium as the 'of which magnesium' line, which is 106 % of the reference value. The two salt weights above it are much higher, and that is the number some labels print instead.
What are L-tyrosine, L-tryptophan and L-theanine doing on the label?
They are in the shot at 500 mg, 500 mg and 200 mg. The label prints the amounts with no percentage because there is no reference value for any of them, and there is no authorised wording for them in the EU Register either, so we say nothing about what they do.
Why does it contain L-tryptophan?
It is on the ingredient list at 500 mg per shot, alongside L-tyrosine and L-theanine, each with its own milligram amount printed on the label.
Is the vitamin D3 vegan?
Yes. The label lists it as vegan cholecalciferol.
Can I take two shots on a hard day?
No. One 15 ml shot is the recommended daily intake on the label and it must not be exceeded — the magnesium alone is already above the reference value.
