So what do the ashwagandha, lemon balm, chamomile and lavender actually do?
We are not allowed to tell you, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. The EU Register of nutrition and health claims contains no authorised wording for ashwagandha root extract, lemon balm, chamomile or lavender, so any sentence a seller writes about calm, sleep or stress is one the regulator has not approved.
What we can print are the numbers: 30 mg of ashwagandha root extract, 62 mg of lemon balm leaf extract, 33 mg of chamomile flower extract and 4 mg of lavender flower extract per daily dose of two gummies. The one nutrient that does have authorised wording, vitamin B6, is in the table above with its sentence.
Why is vitamin B6 at 200 % and not 100 %?
Because 2.8 mg is what the recipe carries per daily dose, and that happens to be twice the reference value. The label prints the figure as it is; we have not rounded it up or down.
Is it vegan?
Yes. The gummy is set with pectin instead of gelatine and glazed with carnauba wax. Nothing in the ingredient list comes from an animal, and the product carries no allergen labelling under Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011.
Why does the label warn about pregnancy, breastfeeding and liver disease?
Because that is what the label states for this recipe, and we print it exactly as given: not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women, for children and adolescents, or for people with liver disease. If any of that applies to you, ask a doctor before taking it.
Why does it warn about a laxative effect?
Because the sweetness comes from maltitol, erythritol and sorbitol, which are sugar alcohols. Every label on a product sweetened this way carries that warning. Two gummies a day is the recommended intake and it must not be exceeded.
Do you have a laboratory analysis for this batch?
