What the science says

Zinc oxide and titanium dioxide — Mineral UV filters that sit on the skin's surface. Research notes that zinc oxide provides broad UVA coverage while titanium dioxide covers UVB, together delivering broad-spectrum sun protection. [1]

Emollients and humectants — Research on moisturisers found that emollients keep the skin smooth and break the dry-skin cycle, while humectants hydrate the outermost skin layer. [2]

The cited research describes mineral UV filters in general: zinc oxide is the first ingredient of this sunscreen and titanium dioxide is 8th. Squalane and plant esters give smooth spreading. Sea buckthorn extract and the hyaluronic acids come after the fragrance, in small amounts, and we claim no visible effect from them. Sunscreen does not give 100% protection. Contains beeswax, so it is not vegan.
