What the science says
Hemp seed oil and light emollients — Research on moisturisers found that emollients keep the skin smooth and break the dry-skin cycle. [1]
Tocopherol (vitamin E) — Vitamin E (tocopherol) is a fat-soluble antioxidant used in skin care for more than 50 years; lab research supports an antioxidant role, while controlled human studies are still few. In this oil it also helps protect the plant oils. [2]
The cited research covers emollients and vitamin E in general, not this oil. Here, organic hemp seed oil is the first ingredient, with decyl cocoate, undecane and tridecane for a dry finish. Cannabidiol (CBD) is at position 5; we quote no studies for it and make no claim for it. Tocopherol is at position 6 and mainly protects the plant oils.
