What the science says
Glycerin — Research on glycerin found it improves hydration of the outermost skin layer, the skin's moisture barrier and its softness and suppleness, and that it is especially helpful in dry, cold conditions. [1]
Emollient butters and plant oils — Research on emollients found that they keep the skin smooth and help break the dry-skin cycle; results depend on the whole formula and on regular use. [2]
The cited research looks at glycerin and emollients in general, not at our cream. In our formula, sunflower seed oil and cocoa butter are 2nd and 3rd, with glycerin 8th of 25 ingredients. Ascorbyl palmitate, tocopherol and lactic acid are at positions 23 to 25 in small amounts, protecting the oils and adjusting pH; we do not claim vitamin or exfoliating-acid effects from them.

Warm a small amount between the fingers. Press into dry areas of the face, or use all over in cold weather. Use morning or evening, over a serum if skin needs more water underneath.
What does it do for the look of my skin?
Cocoa butter, shea butter and argan oil create a substantial protective layer that leaves dry areas velvety and comfortable.
Does it contain fragrance?
No. There is no Parfum added to the formula. The faint scent comes naturally from cocoa butter and vanilla bean extract.

It is made for normal to dry and mature skin, and especially for dry patches or skin that feels exposed in cold weather.
