What the science says

Aloe vera — In research on creams containing aloe, the water content of the outermost skin layer rose compared with the same cream without aloe. [1]

Jojoba seed oil — Research describes jojoba 'oil' as a liquid wax made of long-chain esters, widely used in moisturisers and sunscreens for skin feel and softness. [2]

Glycerin — Research on glycerin found it improves hydration of the outermost skin layer, the skin's moisture barrier and its softness and suppleness. [3]

The cited aloe and glycerin studies used basic creams and the jojoba paper is a review, none of them tested our formula. Here organic aloe leaf juice is first, with jojoba oil and glycerin at positions 3 and 4. Hyaluronic acid sits at positions 22 and 23, after the fragrance, so it is a small amount; the same goes for bisabolol and the watercress, blackberry and rowan extracts. Tocopherol and ascorbyl palmitate are near the end as antioxidants protecting the oils, not as active vitamins.
