What the science says
Aloe vera — In research on topical formulations, creams containing aloe vera extract helped increase the water content of the outermost skin layer compared with an unsupplemented base. [1]
Glycerin — A humectant that improves hydration of the outermost skin layer, supporting the skin's moisture barrier and skin softness. [2]
The cited aloe study tested specific extract concentrations in a moisturising vehicle; in our formula, organic aloe leaf juice forms the first ingredient and glycerin the second. Cannabidiol (CBD) is present at position 10 (declared 1% on the label), but there are no independent cosmetic studies on it around the eyes in our library, so we do not quote research for it. Botanical extracts of horse chestnut, ginkgo and grape leaf, along with hyaluronic acid, appear after fragrance in small amounts.
