Glycerin — A humectant that draws water into the outermost skin layer and helps keep it soft and supple. Research on glycerin highlights its role in supporting the skin's moisture barrier. [1]
The cited glycerin research reviews hydration mechanisms in standard skincare vehicles; in our formula, glycerin sits third. The botanical extracts of ginkgo biloba, green tea, oak bark and grape seed appear after the fragrance (positions 9, 12, 14 and 15) in modest amounts; we do not cite studies for them. The formula contains alcohol at position 2, providing a fast-drying, weightless feel on the skin.
