So what does spirulina actually do?
We are not allowed to tell you, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. The EU Register of nutrition and health claims contains no authorised wording for spirulina, so any sentence a seller writes about energy, detox or immunity is one the regulator has not approved.
What we can print is the number: 3,000 mg of spirulina per daily serving of twelve tablets.
Why twelve tablets and not fewer?
Because the tablet is pressed pure algae with no binder to hold a bigger tablet together. Twelve smaller tablets, each pure spirulina, is how the label keeps the ingredient list to one line instead of adding a binder to make fewer, larger ones.
Is 3,000 mg the whole tablet or just the spirulina?
The whole tablet. The ingredient list is 100% Arthrospira platensis, so the 3,000 mg daily serving is spirulina, full stop.
Why is there no percentage next to the amount?
Because spirulina is not a vitamin or mineral with a nutrient reference value under Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011. The label prints the milligrams and nothing else next to it — that is what "–" means on the nutrition line.
Is it vegan?
Yes. The only ingredient is spirulina; nothing in the tablet comes from an animal.
Can I take it if I have phenylketonuria?
Spirulina is a protein-rich food and a natural source of phenylalanine. If you have phenylketonuria, or take immunosuppressant medication, speak to a doctor before using it — this is general dietary caution, not something printed as a warning on this particular label.
Do you have a lab analysis for this batch?
