Two gummies carry 90 mg of vitamin C and 7.5 mg of zinc. Next to each figure the label prints what it is as a share of the nutrient reference value — 112% and 75% — because a milligram number on its own tells you nothing about whether it is a real dose or a decoration. Those two are also the only ingredients in this jar that may legally carry a health claim.

A hundred milligrams of elderberry, and not a word about what it does
There is 100 mg of black elderberry extract, Sambucus nigra, in the daily dose, and the recipe percentage — 1.18% — is printed on the ingredient list so you can see where it sits among the other ingredients. What we will not do is tell you what it does for you. Health claims for botanicals are still on hold in the EU Register, so no authorised wording exists for elderberry, and everything you read on other jars about berries and immunity is either borrowed from the vitamin C beside them or simply not allowed.

No added sugar, and the purple comes from a carrot
The gummy is sweetened with maltitol, erythritol and steviol glycosides rather than sugar, which is why the label can say no added sugar and why it also has to say that excessive consumption may produce laxative effects. That sentence is the legal wording for polyols, and two gummies a day sit well inside normal use. It is set with pectin from fruit rather than gelatine, the colour is juice concentrate from purple carrots, and the forest-berry taste is a flavouring.

A sealed original pack of sixty gummies was analysed by PLENUM Dr. Born in Ennepetal under analysis number BOD/27/02/25, dated 27 February 2025 — heavy metals (lead, arsenic, cadmium, mercury) and microbiology (aerobic mesophilic count, yeasts and moulds, Enterobacteriaceae, salmonella, E. coli). The finding was that there was nothing to object to. How much elderberry is that, really?
One hundred milligrams of extract per daily dose, and 1.18% of the recipe by weight — that second number is on the ingredient list, which is where you can see how an ingredient ranks against the rest.
We print the extract figure rather than a berry-equivalent figure, because the supplier's specification gives the extract and we are not going to convert a number we were not given.
Does it help my immune system?
Vitamin C and zinc both contribute to the normal function of the immune system and to the protection of cells from oxidative stress — that is the authorised wording, and at 112% and 75% of the reference value they are far above the 15% the law requires before anything may be claimed. Vitamin C also contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
For the elderberry itself we claim nothing. Health claims for botanicals are still on hold in the EU Register, so no authorised wording exists for it, and any jar that tells you otherwise is telling you something it is not allowed to.
When should I take them?
Two gummies a day, chewed, at whatever time suits you. Do not exceed that.

No added sugar. The sweetness comes from maltitol, erythritol and steviol glycosides. The first two are polyols, which is why the label also carries the sentence excessive consumption may produce laxative effects — that is the legal wording, and two gummies a day are well inside normal use.
The gummy is set with pectin, the colour is purple carrot juice concentrate, and the forest-berry taste is a flavouring.
Is it really vegan?
Yes. The gummy is set with pectin instead of gelatine and the glazing is carnauba wax. The full list is in the Ingredients tab and on the label; nothing on it comes from an animal.
It also contains none of the allergens that must be declared under Annex II of Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011, and it is non-GMO.
How long does one jar last?
Sixty gummies at two a day is thirty days — one month.
Store it closed, dry, cool and away from light, and use it within three months of opening. The lot number and the best-before date are printed on the base of the jar and they govern.
